23 killed during week of deadly crashes

— OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A sport-utility vehicle crossed the center median of Interstate 40 on Sunday and slammed into an oncoming tractor-trailer, killing a Missouri woman and her son in another in a series of deadly accidents on Oklahoma roads over the last week.
Jacquline E. Moreno-Barnes, 27, of Nevada, Mo., was driving a Ford Explorer east on I-40 near Clinton when she ran across the median and slammed head-on into the truck, causing both vehicles to catch fire, said Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Chris West. Her 2-year-old son, Nathan Salvador Bobadilla-Ramirez, was also killed in the crash around 10 a.m., the patrol said.
A 5-year-old girl in the sport-utility vehicle was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition, West said. The OHP listed the home address of both children as Mexico.
