    URGENT: MUST READ

NEW IMMIGRATION BILL IN WORKS NOW

According to the email I just received: Chertoff convinced the senate they need a new immigration bill. Tennessee Senator Corker confirmed that there is a new effort in progress to one of his constituents.

I don't know the validity of these claims. I am on a huge mailing list titled Border Alert I on yahoo and that is the source of the email.
The email was an action alert telling everyone to phone, fax, email, etc.

I really hope that they just got some wrong info here.

Trying to wear down the voters

    Hi SaveOurCountry,

Looks to me like the Senate is trying to wear down the voters into complacency. Voters spoke out against the Kennedy-Bush Amnesty Bill, enough senators got the message and didn't pass it.

So either they have short memories or they're going to try to punish the voters with 3 other amnesty bills!

The insidious DREAM Act (Amnesty for anchor babies of illegals and H-1Bs ) - Sen. Cornyn

The contemptuous "SKIL"-Bill (Amnesty for H-1Bs and increases the cap) - Sen Cornyn

And now the Chertoff Amnesty bill you described above.

What part of "We don't owe our jobs to India" are you unable to understand, Senator?

    Hi SaveOurCountry,

OK if I chime in one more time? I forgot to post this...

Since any lunatic can introduce an amnesty bill (Communist La Raza, Chertoff, et al)
Are you calling Mr,. Chertoff a lunatic?
. Well, lets see...... that's exactly what I'm calling him!

How about I submit the Coto Trail-Ride Amnesty Bill? Southbound, that is.

It has been well established that Secretary Chertoff feels he can't do his job without a massive guest worker program, the AgJOBS program, and legalization of the majority of illegals currently residing in the United States. Forget the rule of law and what's right, the man just wants us to make his job easier! He needs to stay out of the politics surrounding border security and illegal immigration. Chertoff's only concern should be that of enforcing the laws as written. We didn't elect him to represent the country on this issue, he was appointed to his position by Bush!

I haven't read anything specific about another attempt for a "grand bargain" type of huge amnesty in the following news stories, but I would count on the OBL and cheap labor crowd attempting to shove the AgJOBS and the "Dream Act" (i.e., nightmare) bill through. (Dianne Feinstein has said as much on her website)

I READ SOMETHING ABOUT A NEW BILL TO INCREASE TOURISM. COULD THIS BE WHAT THE OP IS TALKING ABOUT? SOME THINK IT IS A COVER FOR INCREASING WORKERS TO THE US BECAUSE ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IT NOT LEAVE. I HAVE NOT HAD A CHANCE TO FIND ANY DETAILS ON THIS YET. JUST READ ABOUT IT. BUT IN TWO SEPARATE CHAT ROOMS. HAVE NOT FOUND AN ARTICLE ON IT YET.

This is one of the links. Yep, they are at it again.

    http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/o ... ley09.html

I've been saying for a long time now -- These guys NEVER SLEEP. Here is an upcoming sneak attack, folks ....

Sen. Diane Feinstein of California and Republican Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho "are joining forces to peel off one solution from the failed immigration-reform bill. Unlike the comprehensive bill with too many hot buttons to get around vocal special interests on all sides of the issue, Feinstein's and Craig's approach has a long history of wide support, in and out of Congress," according to the Seattle Times.

The column goes on to say:

The Agricultural Job Opportunity, Benefits, and Security Act is the product of 10 years of negotiation between agriculture employers, the United Farm Workers and Hispanic civil-rights groups. The proposal has two facets. First, it would create a pilot program that would give temporary legal status to workers who can prove they have worked in U.S. agriculture in the past two years. Workers would have to work in agriculture an additional three to five years, have clean criminal records and pay a fine before they apply for permanent legal resident status. The second part would refine the current guest-worker program.

The op-ed column, pro-immigration of course, deals mostly with Washington State issues but is a good source of what the Open Borders crowd is thinking -- and plotting -- like Feinstein and Craig are.
