"The Bush administration has petitioned Congress for a $1.4 billion, three-year package to send anti-narcotics aid to Mexico and Central America. All but $50 million of the package is earmarked for the Calderon government."
Maybe Bush and the Congressional Leadership should give the $1,400,000,000 to "our" Border Law Enforcement Organizations to "help" them keep the Third World south of the Border!

We need to be careful to whom we grant political asylum--drug cartels have infiltrated the police and this could be used by the cartels as a step to gain 'legitimate' entry into the U.S. We don't want to deny protection either to men who really need it.
