3 tons of pot of seized near Reynosa

REYNOSA -- Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office confirmed the seizure of more than 6,400 pounds of marijuana hidden in two tractor trailers.

According to information provided by the PGR, the seizure was carried out by the Mexican army. Soldiers were manning an inspection booth at the 30-kilometer marker of the Reynosa-Monterrey highway.

During the inspections, the soldiers came across two tractor trailer, where they found several bundles of marijuana inside. In the first trailer, the soldiers found more than 3,300 pounds of marijuana, while in the second one they found 3,100 pounds. Both drivers were detained and taken to the Reynosa State Prison –CEDES.
