35 IMMIGRANT HOODS GET BOOT
By JOE McGURK

Dozens of legal and illegal immigrants, convicted in the last year on drug and fraud charges, are being booted out of the country, authorities said yesterday.

The 35 people were rounded-up by U.S. Immigration and Custom agents and federal probation officers as part of a Homeland Security initiative.

"These criminal aliens have violated our nation's laws and have lost the privilege to remain in this country," said Martin Ficke, special agent in charge of the New York office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Twenty-one of the people were permanent residents of the United States, and 14 were illegal aliens from China, Colombia, Haiti, Jamaica, Pakistan and other countries, authorities said.

The arrested aliens, all of whom lived in Brooklyn, had been charged in New York with drug possession and trafficking, money laundering, bank and credit-card fraud or producing false identities.
