More Border Patrol agents to enter duty in RGV

On Monday, 53 new Border Patrol agents will enter duty as part of the U.S. Border Patrol’s national strategy to address risk where threat is greatest.

A total of 350 new agents are to be added between August 5 and September 16.

The new agents will be sworn in tomorrow at the Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector Headquarters in Edinburg.

They will take the oath of office at 1:30 p.m.
