Haiti - Dominican Republic : 4,850 Haitians repatriated in the country officially

Major General Rubén Paulino Sem, Director of the Dominican immigration revealed that since August 14, 2015, when the repatriation of illegal aliens began, the agency had repatriated to their countries of origin, 4,850 Haitian nationals in irregular migratory situation that was not registered in the National Plan for the Regularization of Foreigners (PNRE) or have been denied, not meeting the criteria.

He explained that the repatriations not only affect the Haitians, but other foreign nationals whose illegal status was similar, citing the case of repatriation of 8 Cubans, 4 Iraqis, 2 Colombians, 1 Italy, 1 German, 1 Dutch and a group of 14 citizens of India, whose repatriation is programmed.

Rubén Paulino Sem assured that all repatriations of Haitian nationals and other nationalities were made in the most strict respect for human rights, regardless of nationality, recalling that he had for this purpose, a staff highly qualified and trained to carry out the repatriation operations of illegal aliens living in different parts of the country.
