AZ Law: Who's Going To Do The Actual Deportations?

If the law goes into effect, who's going to do the actual deportations and what guarantees are there that it will be an efficient process? And will the new AZ law also generate more profits for immigration attorneys who will capitalize on frivolous racial profiling lawsuits?

    Example:

The mother of a Maryland second-grade girl who questioned First Lady Michelle Obama about the Obama administration's immigration policy Wednesday won't be deported.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency spokesman Matthew Chandler said in an e-mail to the Washington Post's Federal Eye blog that the agency investigates cases based on solid law enforcement work, not "classroom Q and As."

During a televised event at her school to promote healthy eating, the girl had asked the First Lady why the president was "taking everybody away that doesn't have papers," the Washington Post reported.

Obama tried to reassure the girl that people "with the right kind of papers" wouldn't be deported.

"But my mom doesn't have any papers," the girl blurted out.

I think the objective is to get people here illegally to voluntarily leave if Mexican go to San Luis and Nogales. If immigration violators can be prosecuted on the state level for tresspassing being incarcerated for a month a few times would encourage people to leave.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I agree. Self deportation by enforcing our immigration laws internally is the best course of action.

It is very cost effective as well.

The invaders will leave voluntarily as they do not want to take a chance getting caught violating state law, as this might affect their ablity to receive amnesty down the line( NEVER IS going to happen anyway). Even if not actually deported, they will have a criminal record. They are leaving already for this very reason.

Yes I fully expect that the ICE will as always, find themselves too short staffed and too short on resources to be able to handle what is presented to them.

No city, county or sate law enforcement officer or agency can deport anyone.

Only the federal government can deport people.

Think of how many thousands of jobs can be created if we start enforcing the laws we already have! More ICE agents, more judges, court personnel, jail guards, construction workers to build new detention centers etc. not to mention all the non-farm jobs 8 million illegal aliens hold, we can pay for these new jobs.

With the billions we save from welfare, housing, medical bennies that illegal aliens have been voraciosly devouring, we can afford to put more Americans to work! It's a win-win situation!

I would change one major thing, I would not put any border patrol agent who is of mexican ancestry on the southern border, they are too vulnerable there. Put them in interior enforcement or on the northern border.

They are starting to do a good job of self deporting.
