Tons of Marijuana, Dozens of Weapons Seized Near Camargo

CAMARGO, Mexico - Authorities in Mexico say they confiscated dozens of weapons and more than two and a half tons of marijuana during a search of a home in Camargo, just south of the border across from Rio Grande City.

According to the Office of the Secretary of National Defense, officials discovered the drugs and guns in an underground cave. Along with the marijuana, 40 firearms, 16 grenades, a grenade launcher, more than 21,000 rounds of ammunition and 15 bullet-proof vests were found. No arrests were made at the time of the discovery.
