JUAREZ -- Chihuahua state police have captured five alleged members of a Juarez kidnapping ring, officials with the Chihuahua state attorney general's office said.

The suspects are accused in eight kidnappings that occurred in August and September.

Officials identified those captured as ElĂ*as David Valenzuela Grijalva, 24; Miguel Guadalupe Chico Quezada, alias "El Gallo", 26; Paul Eduardo Galindo Velázquez, 18; Lorenzo Juan Salas González, "El X Men", 35; and Cesar Vega Muñoz, alias "El ChilĂ*n", 21.

The suspects allegedly used a house on Privada de Senecu road in the Campestre neighborhood to hold their victims, investigators said.

Chihuahua state investigators seized six vehicles they believe were used in the kidnappings: a Nissan 350Z, a Nissan Altima, a Dodge Neon, a Honda Accord, a Lincoln Town Car and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. They also seized a 9mm pistol, a .38-caliber revolver and six cell phones.

The attorney general's office is still seeking Ernesto Piñón De la Cruz, alias "El Neto", believed to be the leader of the alleged kidnapping ring.
