    I thought this was an immigration forum?


    GMO crops that are resistant to weeds will reduce the amount of labor needed on farms, thus reducing the need for immigrants. And GMO crops will raise standards of living in Mexico, reducing the incentive to emigrate.

    Of course, it won't do anything about Mexico's institutionally corrupt government. But it's a start.
