6 people detained as illegal immigrants after traffic stop

HAZLE TWP. – Six people were detained as illegal immigrants after a traffic stop on Stockton Road on Monday, state police at Hazleton said.
Marco Antonia, 26, was stopped at about 4:50 p.m. and told police he resided on Bennett Court in Hazleton.
Police said Antonia and five passengers in the car, Sergio Limon, 23, Estevan Caravantes, 43, Milton Perez, 21, Aldayr Garcia, 17, and Pascual Perez, 19, were Mexican citizens and did not possess proper immigration documents to be in the United States.
The six men were held at the Lackawanna County Prison on detainers from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, police said.
