YUMA, AZ - A Yuma jeweler has been fatally shot in Mexico while visiting relatives.
The family of Jorge Ahuactzin told the Yuma Sun that he and his brother were fatally shot Friday outside Manuel Ahuactzin's home in central Mexico's Tlaxcala state.
Family members say Jorge Ahuactzin died from a gunshot to the head while his brother died from two shots to the chest. Mexican police say they're searching for five possible suspects who fled the scene.
Jorge Ahuactzin had owned and operated 24 Karat Jewelers in Yuma for more than 30 years. Manuel Ahauctzin owned a small jewelry shop in Tlaxcala.
Police believe the motive for the killings may be revenge. Two suspects were arrested for the foiled attempted robbery of the Manuel Ahauctzin's business a few months ago.
