8 of 10 migrants are raped in south Mexico.

    TRANSLATED FROM:
    http://www.prensalibre.com/pl/2008/julio/14/248770.html

The American dream of many women has turned to a nightmare when, crossing the Mexican border, are victims of humiliations, psychological torture and abuses of all types.

According to the last report from the Forum of Migrations, elaborate this year, 8 out of 10 central americans that enter through Mexico's southern border. are raped, even if they are girls, teenagers or old women. Among them, there is a high percentage of women from Guatemala.

The document relates how the Salvadorians resort to a strategy of greater protection when they travel, therefore they do it in groups and they are more organized. In the case of the Guatemalans, they do not have resources so they travel in deplorable conditions.

Mary Galván, of the house of the migrant Institute Mother Assunta, declares that the cases of sex abuse are given occur in the northern border as well as in the southern border.

"The central americans are more vulnerable, because many times cause pass for the wives of migrants in order to be able to cross, and they take advantage of them", regrets Galván.

The social worker comments that, last year, three sisters wanted to cross the border, and some assailants forced them to strip, but the smaller sister, suffering from Down Syndrome, did not obey. The delinquents took her from the hair. Nobody herd from her again.

Mexican Jorge Bustamante Fernández, special narrator of the United Nations for the Rights of the Migrant, declared to the newspaper El Universal, from Mexico, that the rights of the migrant are violated in that country in a greater proportion to which the Mexicans suffer in the United States.

Ana MarÃ*a Méndez, of the DefensorÃ*a of the Migrant of the Attorney's office of Human Rights, confirms this version, and reports that last week they have received reports from 13 deported migrants that they were abused by migratory police officers of the neighboring country.

Migrants from El Salvador, Guatamala, Honduras and other Latin American countries crossing through Mexico get raped by Mexicans. These animals are right on America's border. Doesnt this fact make it even more convencing that we are in dire need for a fence to keep Illegal Mexicans out!

Is he saying that 'migrants' in the US are suffering because their 'rights' are being violated?? What rights? If the US treated migrants the way Mexico treats them, we wouldn't have one single IA left in this country. I guess spending $350B/year on them isn't enough...nothing is good enough for them...precious little darlings!
