82-YEAR-OLD FACES 20 FELONY CHARGES - ILLEGAL ALIENS GO FREE

82-year-old Robert Wallace faces 20 felony charges for defending his property, two illegal aliens thieves uncharged

    By By Daniel Greenfield

Say you’re 82 years old. Say that you see two people a third of your age with criminal records stealing your trailer. Say that you run out to stop them and they almost run you over. You fire two shots. The thieves are let go, and you find yourself facing life in prison.

    It’s not a hypothetical scenario.

Admitted thieves are going free, while an elderly Wheat Ridge man is facing the possibility of spending the rest of his life behind bars, all, he says, for trying to defend his property and his life.

82-year-old Robert Wallace said in February that he looked out his window and saw two men hooking his flatbed trailer up to their pickup. He yelled at them to stop, but they sped away, stealing his trailer. He told police he fired two shots at the pickup.

Minutes later, police say 32-year-old Damacio Torres dropped 28-year-old Alvaro Cardona off at a hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound to the face.

Torres did not stay to talk with police, but they caught up with him later. According to court documents, he admitted he and Cardona stole the trailer.

Wallace did not want to talk on camera, but when we asked him if the two men threatened him he said, “They almost ran me over.â€

Elderly man facing serious charges for shooting at thieves

Elderly man facing serious charges for shooting at thieves

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - Legal analyst Dan Recht said he believes the Jefferson County District Attorney is "seriously overcharging" a Wheat Ridge homeowner, accused of attempted first degree murder for shooting at two thieves.

82-year-old Robert Wallace said he fired two shots at two men when they tried to run him over while stealing his flatbed trailer.

Wallace now faces twelve felony counts, including four counts of attempted first degree murder, for what he described as an act of defending his property and his life. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.

One of the thieves, Damacio Torres later admitted to the theft. He and his partner in crime, Alvara Cardano both have prior arrest records and are believed to be in the country illegally.

But they are not facing any charges.

Recht said, in his experience, prosecutors overcharge cases to force a person to plea bargain. He argued that it's just not right to put a person through that kind of mental and financial stress.

Jefferson County DA, Scott Storey, indicated he'll take a closer look at his office's decision to throw the book at the homeowner and hinted the charges could be reduced. He said the investigation continues into the confessed thieves.

Wheatridge is a suburb of Denver a Sanctuary city which means that citizens will take the hit before the thieving criminal illegals.

It sounds to me like they attempted vehicular homicide and he was defending himself. I think that had he really wanted to kill them instead of just scaring them off, they wouldn't be around to be whining about it. JMO

    As it does me.

Most illegals carry concealed 'crotch' pistols between their legs, and don't hesitate to take a life.

I've seen more than one video where state troopers stopped vehicles loaded with illegals and were then met with hails of bullets being fired from each of the stopped vehicle passengers - AND MURDERED IN COLD BLOOD.

The invaders are masters at trying to turn table on Americans as they perpetrate crimes across the country. The ACLU and SPLC have dedicated legal staff just waiting to take cases like these against Americans defending their Constitutional rights to life and property.

Had the invaders successfully killed Mr. Wallace and stolen his trailer and truck, they would have easily found shelter in the massive illegal alien protection ring throughout the country. Free to repeat this crime over and over again, as they do daily.

    Excellent.

Wallace needs all the help he can get. LaRaza has a mighty big political stick that reaches far into our legal system.

    Wallace may still be absolved.
