A 9-year-old boy whose mother died Thursday night after their car fell off a cliff south of Arivaca was rescued by an illegal border crosser who stayed with him through the night.
At about 5 p.m. Thanksgiving evening, a 45-year-old woman from Rimrock, Ariz., and her 9-year-old son were traveling in a green SUV on Forest Service Road 29, about five miles west of milepost 10 on Ruby Road when she lost control, hit an embankment and went down a cliff, said Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada. Ruby Road is northwest of Nogales.
She was pinned inside the vehicle and probably died immediately, he said. The boy got out of the car and was by himself until about 3 a.m. when a man, Jesus Manuel Cordova, 21, of Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, Mexico, encountered the boy, Estrada said. Cordova who was walking north in an attempt to cross into the country illegally, he said.
Cordova consoled the boy, gave him a jacket, built a bonfire and stayed with him until about 8 a.m., when he gave the boy over to a passerby, who alerted authorities. The boy was flown to a Tucson hospital for precautionary measures, Estrada said.
The boy is now an orphan; his father died two months ago, Estrada said. He and his mother were in the area camping.

Send him back home, maybe his good deed will rub off on the 12-15 sex offenders that cross over illegally every frigging day.

I just read this on another thread.

It is newsworthy that this man did this - it was the act of a really good person, but that's is what it is.

Some of these people are very kind people - great people, that's not the point.

If he had made it here, whose job would have taken - whose ID would he have taken in order to work - would he have driven a car - would he have produced children for us to care for ==

    That's the point.
