ACLU Suspends Southern Chapter Over Minuteman Issue

The American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico suspended its Las Cruces chapter Monday after learning that a member of the group's board was heading the formation of a Minuteman-style organization in New Mexico.
Gary Mitchell, a Ruidoso attorney and president of the ACLU board of directors, said the suspension of the southern chapter was a technical move to make sure the leader of the New Mexico Minutemen â€â€

ACLU officials have said they will work to stop Alford's group and the Minuteman Project in New Mexico from taking the law into their own hands.

What would the ACLU do if someone was breaking into their home? Would they not call the police becuase it is the right of the crook to steal what they want? What a bunch of MORONS!

Hell no, the ACLU director probably has his own armed guards to patrol his house and protect him ... same with all the anti gun wackos who all have bodyguards with uzis where as <gasp> heaven forbid the common man be allowed to even own any kind of gun.

Wouldn't illegal aliens not be considered vigilantes when they take the law into their own hands each and every day when they illegally cross our borders? It irks me that these schmucks want to provide protection of the law to the same individuals who hold our laws in contempt, but it doesn't surprise me coming from a group that wants to get child molesters like NAMBLA off and claim they can rape children under the 1st amendment. They all can rot in hell.

It always amuses me when people talk about the Minutemen taking the law into their own hands. Is that what people do when they form a "Neighborhood Watch?" You never hear them being accused of "taking the law into their own hands." What's the difference?

The ACLU doesn't like anybody who isn't a communist, radical socialist, pervert of some kind, or a downtrodden person they can use as a tool to leverage their leftist agenda. They are the scum of the earth and they need to be stopped. There are a few organizations like the Thomas More Law Center who are trying, but they are outgunned. They need our support.
