After hit-and-run and chase, man tries to run over Greeley police officer

About 4:55 a.m., an off-duty officer saw a hit-and-run in the 1600 block of 11th Avenue. After receiving information about the suspect, officers located the white-paneled van on 14th Avenue. The suspect drove off heading west on 10th Street.

The suspect stopped in a dead-end cul-de-sac and was able to escape by trying to run over one of the officers. The vehicle was also reported stolen from the county Thursday morning.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years old, with a light mustache, wearing a dark coat, black hat and an orange T-shirt. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 350-9600.

No way, not a hispanic male committing crimes against our community. I refuse to believe it, I think like the rest of the Greeleyites I'll bury my head deep in my rear and deny there's an illegal or gang problem.
