Security, Prosperity on Agenda for US, Canada, Mexico Meeting

    By Howard Williams

Ottawa (CNSNews.com) -- Cabinet ministers and secretaries from Canada, the United States and Mexico will push ahead Monday with plans to streamline commerce without threatening security between their three countries, according to Canadian officials here.

At a one-day meeting in Ottawa to be chaired by Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan, the officials hope to find ways to ease trade through regulation rather than new legislation, they said.

One of them, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the regulatory route was speedier than legislation, and officials already had the authority to reduce trade barriers in many instances.

He said the three countries had so far managed to introduce savings worth $20 billion a year simply by reducing rules of origin requirements. He believed the ministers would agree on another tranche of a similar value at their Monday meeting.

Another Canadian official said that the ministers would be presented Monday with "one hundred-plus" initiatives to improve trade flow between the three countries. He declined to elaborate.

The meeting will be the first under the so-called Security and Prosperity Partnership agreed by U.S. President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, this past March.

That agreement allows the three North American Free Trade Agreement member states to take measures, either trilaterally or bilaterally, to increase trade and border security.

This would allow, for instance, the U.S. and Canada to agree on cross-border measures that might differ from those in place between the U.S. and Mexico.

After Monday's meeting, the three countries are due to hold consultations twice a year in an effort to streamline both security and commerce.

The Waco agreement, according to a background document issued at the time, aims to enhance border security and bio-protection, implement a common approach to emergency response, improve aviation and maritime security, combat transnational threats and enhance intelligence partnership.

It sought at the same time to "improve the legitimate flow of people and cargo at our shared borders."

"Officials hope to find ways to ease trade through "regulation" rather than "new legislation"."

Hmmmmm... HOW AMERICAN IS THAT? Gee....if I was a member of the United States Congress, I'd be grabbing a case of Viagra and sucking them down because what this appears to do is impotentize the elected representatives of the American People and omnipotentize King Bushey and his Hacks in the United States Commerce Department.

NO WONDER, "one of them" spoke on "condition of anonymity"!!

Yep....Americans do not generally take kindly to worms sneaking around behind our backs in violation of American Law to end our Nation.

The meeting will be the first under the so-called Security and Prosperity Partnership agreed by U.S. President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, this past March.
Am I stupid or did they just claim that this if the first meeting while at the same time revealing that Bushey and Foxey and Martin agreed to this in an earlier meeting in Waco 3 months ago?

    Hmmmm. Wackos in Waco!!

I got a great down-home public education in Missouri and can count at least 2 here and we know there was another one in May down in Mexico!! Please someone check my math for me 'cuz I believe, 1 and 1 and 1 = 3 meetings that we've uncovered thus far!!

Don't you just hate being lied to?

That agreement allows the three North American Free Trade Agreement member states to take measures, either trilaterally or bilaterally, to increase trade and border security.
Well....now lets try to count again. Trilaterally = 3 which means all three nations would have to agree to take measures. Bilaterally = 2 which means at least 2 of 3 would have to agree to take measures. We are MISING UNILATERALLY which = 1 which could take measures.

Personally, I'm sort of pre-sold on the one that is missing, the one called unilateral action, which means the United States can take whatever action it alone deems necessary to deal with trade and border security in accordance with the WILL of the American People.

I mean....did it not occur to these Wackos that Canada and Mexico might bilaterally agree to invade the United States? Duuuuuuh!!

I WONDER WHY these Wackos in Waco left that important unilateral one out or believed they COULD. Anyone have any idea why wackos on the public dole and travel accounts are "agreeing" to give up the sovereignty of the United States on anything, let alone items of such grand importance as trade and security?

Is this part of the Clueless in DC Crowd or part of the EVIL trying to END OUR NATION?

Lets Debate It in a Treason Trial!!

This would allow, for instance, the U.S. and Canada to agree on cross-border measures that might differ from those in place between the U.S. and Mexico.
Yeah....we got that part, dear. We've always had that right. What we're concerned about is losing the right to determine our own destiny, often times referred to as Freedom and Independence and the right to unilaterally defend and protect both for any reason whatsoever, not to mention a Bilateral Agreement between Canada and Mexico to Just Take Over the United States.

After Monday's meeting, the three countries are due to hold consultations twice a year in an effort to streamline both security and commerce.
No...the three countries aren't due to hold consultations....the three WACKOS might be, but not their NATIONS!!

Stop this nonsense, get names, fill out Pink-Slips and Freeze All Travel accounts!!

The Waco agreement, according to a background document issued at the time, aims to enhance border security and bio-protection, implement a common approach to emergency response, improve aviation and maritime security, combat transnational threats and enhance intelligence partnership.
Am I hallucinating or did I just read that there is a "background document" prepared before the Wackos in Waco meeting? Yep....that's what it says...so would a reasonable person conclude that some pre-meetings to the Wackos meeting in Waco took place? Or did they just devise, craft, and scheme that document using email, fax, and document delivery services? This means....either they sat in a room for days "crafting" their plot...perhaps many days.....perhaps an entire FIRST TERM of a United States President....OR there is a Paper Trail a MILE LONG and 4.5 YEARS OLD about these shenanigans......OR BOTH!!

If I were a member of the United States Congress, as I am grabbing my bottle of Viagra, I'd be RUNNING to the Clerk's Office with a Resolution to INVESTIGATE all of these meetings, all of these traitorous agendas, all these emails, all these faxes, and all these document deliveries amongst all the parties that so much as took a breath within 100 feet of this design to END THE UNITED STATES.

Then I would rent the ALAMODOME, at federal tax payer expense, charge it to Homeland Security, and start holding my Treason Trials so alot of US would have seat to watch the trials!!

I mean who would want to miss all that "worm squirmin"!!

It sought at the same time to "improve the legitimate flow of people and cargo at our shared borders."
There it is again....that "flow of people and cargo". Well, lets see...the flow of people is not in our best interest and I'm beginning to doubt much of that flow of cargo is either. Depends of course on much is flowing in versus how much is flowing out....get my drift...

Any member of the United States Congress who isn't already on his way to the Clerk's Office at this moment, isn't fit to serve the American People and can plan on joining their Commie Comrades and King at the ALAMODOME!!

This should be front page News. It says why we don’t want any more stinking trade agreements, no amnesty, and closed borders.
