ICE Agency transports illegal immigrants from Coffee County

Suspected illegal aliens who end up in the Coffee County Jail are now being taken by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) to Montgomery for further evaluation and deportation back to home countries.
According to Coffee County Sheriff Dave Sutton, ICE received permission to hire more personnel and has since incorporated a program to quickly move illegals out of the country.

Many county jails now have ICE varifying immigration status of those arrested. It is a blessing as in many cities police are not allowed to ask immigration status and can only call ICE if there is either a notice to notify ICE when the person is run or if they voluntarily give out that information. Reading the list of crimes listed in the article many of those so called farm workers and laborers in Immokalee who are arrested fall into that catagory. In Broward County they average anywhere 30 or more a month with immigration holds on them.
