An investigation at an Albertville trailer park led to the arrests of three people from Georgia on charges of promoting prostitution.

Police said Wednesday that Analilia Calderon Romero, Bolivar Palma-Ramirez and Eddy Bulux-Mendez had been arrested and face third-degree charges of promoting prostitution.

Calderon Romero, 19, and Palma-Ramirez, age unknown, are from Atlanta. Bulux-Mendez’s age and address were unknown.

The three were arrested Monday afternoon and transported to the Albertville Police Department. Police Sgt. Jamie Smith said more charges were possible as the investigation continues.

Police had been conducting an undercover investigation at Beck’s Kilpatrick Trailer Park on Kilpatrick Road.

Smith said the FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had been contacted as part of the investigation.

The three suspects were in Albertville City Jail on Wednesday.

Prostitution has been a recurring story in Albertville this year.

Police began a prostitution investigation in 2006 at the same trailer park. Three people were charged in federal court earlier this year on charges of conspiracy, alien transportation for illegal sexual activity, enticing an alien to engage in prostitution and failure to file an alien statement.

Police shut down a second brothel in May at the Greenwood Village Mobile Home Park off First Street.

Smith said his department’s Vice/Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Marshall County Drug Enforcement Unit and the Alabama Alcohol Beverage Control Board Narcotics Unit, made the arrests.
