Arizona

Forecast: Excessive heat warning; highs up to 112 degrees
Races to watch
Republican Senate primary Sen. John McCain, a four-term incumbent and his party's 2008 presidential nominee, is being challenged by former congressman J.D. Hayworth.
Latest polling: McCain, 53%; Hayworth 27%
Money raised: McCain, $27 million; Hayworth, $2.8 million.
Republican House primary Ben Quayle, son of former vice president Dan Quayle, is the top fundraiser among 10 Republican candidates in the state's 3rd Congressional District, where Rep. John Shadegg is retiring.
