I don't think it is just the "monied interests" behind this. I think the people behind it are the ones who know that these kinds of revolutions take decades to create and yes we can thank the enemy within - the monied interests are just doing what they do when there is no leash on them. I also notice how my Apple is suddenly jamming, how my e-mail in-box suddenly looks strange and malfunctions alot since I got onto this issue.

I live in South Florida and I also do not trust Rubio one bit.
Anyone who thinks it's simply better to elect any Republican over Crist or Meeks better think again. If you continue to support these types of Republicans then the Republican party will continue to get the message that American citizens are absolutely fine with them negotiating amnesties every 20 years or so.
If Rubio is just going to be another in a long line of great compromisers with no regard for his constituency then what's the point? It's quite obvious that he's already aligned with the Republican elites who all favor amnesty, just look at his endorsements. And a "guestworker" amnesty? Are they KIDDING?
At this point I'd rather vote for Meeks. At least we know what we're getting with him. We might not like it but at least we won't look like complete idiots for voting for someone whom we thought would do one thing then flip-flopped and did another (Martinez).
Crist and Rubio? Thanks traitor and RINO, but no thanks.

CR, I liked your post because it brought out some good points to discuss so I am responding to it by the point.
It is the rare elected official I trust one bit and Rubio is not one of them. However, I do believe he has politcally aligned himself in such a way that makes it more likely for anti-illegal immigration advocates to gain more support from him than either Crist or Meeks who are Amnesty advocates.I live in South Florida and I also do not trust Rubio one bit.
I thought again and have not changed my mind. I would rather not elect another Senator who will support Reid, Schumer or Durbin as their leader. The leader sets the agenda and you can be rest assured Amnesty will get a vote in that case. Also, we do not need to elect another guaranteed Amnesty vote. At worst make our opponents expend resources and frustrate their efforts to the point where it contributes to the type of tension that pushes politicians away from the issue.Anyone who thinks it's simply better to elect any Republican over Crist or Meeks better think again.
I have long advocated what you speak of. That is why I did not vote for McCain in the last election. At a certain point though too much medicine kills the patient. The GOP is being purged fairly well now. What about the Democrats? Electing Meeks would be like electing obama junior and I don't see him as the ideal democrat to pattern after. If you continue to support these types of Republicans then the Republican party will continue to get the message that American citizens are absolutely fine with them negotiating amnesties every 20 years or so.
I cannot stand the Jeb Bush endorsement but I think it is worth noting that Rubio's key endorsement has been Senator DeMint. He is one of the key figures in defeating the 2007 Amnesty legislation. In the mean time Crist was the one sucking up to the "establishment" recieving support from the Republican Senate Election Committee. Meanwhile Meeks was busy lining up the Amnesty Elite like Senator Bill Nelson and SEIU who in another article on the Board right now are committing more money to push for Amnesty than I could imagine them being able to. Kind of obvioius who will really be influenced in what manner when it comes to Amnesty. If Rubio is just going to be another in a long line of great compromisers with no regard for his constituency then what's the point? It's quite obvious that he's already aligned with the Republican elites who all favor amnesty, just look at his endorsements.
Unfortunately, the political class doesn't kid about much because there is so much money involved. And a "guestworker" amnesty? Are they KIDDING?
I appreciate your frustration because I was one of those Martinez votes as well. And I don't recall ever shying away from a fight worth having. I am just wanting to have less of them now. I do not think Rubio will pull a Martinez on us because Rubio is clear about where his political power is coming from whereas Martinez thought his support was based on his personality and Bush rather than the principle of his positions and how that served his constitutents. Like Bush he kicked his base to the curb and then they kicked back.At this point I'd rather vote for Meeks. At least we know what we're getting with him. We might not like it but at least we won't look like complete idiots for voting for someone whom we thought would do one thing then flip-flopped and did another (Martinez).
I hope you have the satisfaction of casting a vote that sends a message and I hope to cast one that makes the coming fight a little easier.Crist and Rubio? Thanks traitor and RINO, but no thanks.
