A man's body was found in Ironwood National Monument Saturday by Humane Borders volunteers filling water tanks in the area.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department responded to a call around 8:20 a.m. after the volunteers reported the body, said Sgt. James Ogden, a spokesman.
The volunteers were doing routine water-station checks in the area when they found the Hispanic man, who is believed to have been a migrant, said the Rev. Robin Hoover, founder of Humane Borders.
