BRASILIA, Brazil — A French pilot who allegedly worked for leftist rebels in Colombia is asking Brazil's Supreme Court to annul its order for his extradition to the United States on drug trafficking charges.

The court says Pierre Jacques Hernandez de Lennoy argues he shouldn't be sent to the U.S. because Brazilian law doesn't have the crime of conspiracy, which is part of the American extradition request.

Lennoy's lawyer, Livia Cristina Campos Leiva, added Monday that the U.S. government has not yet agreed to limit her client to less than 30 years in prison if convicted, the maximum allowed by Brazilian law.

The U.S. accuses Lennoy of transporting drugs to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia between 2001 and 2003.
