Alleged pimp deported to Jamaica in '97

A Chicago man charged with providing the prostitute who was murdered last month in Addison has a lengthy criminal record that prompted immigration officials to deport him in 1997, authorities said Tuesday.
But Jesse Miser, 43, apparently returned illegally to the United States from his native Jamaica, using a different identity and obtaining bogus documents in that name, including driver's licenses from Illinois and Michigan, officials said.
Miser is believed to be an alias he adopted after he returned to the United States, according to documents filed Tuesday as DuPage County authorities sought to increase Miser's bail from $75,000 to $300,000. Miser was charged this month with felony pandering after Kristi Hoenig, 21, of Chicago was found stabbed to death in Addison.

Hoenig worked for an escort service that Miser allegedly operated in Chicago, officials said. She reportedly had been called early on Feb. 26 to Addison by 23-year-old Gary Schuning, who has been charged with her murder.
Schuning also is accused of fatally stabbing his mother, 40-year-old Doris Pagliaro, then using her credit card to hire Hoenig to visit his home, authorities said. Hoenig was stabbed to death after she reportedly discovered a bloody knife and made a call to Miser for help.
Miser -- whose name originally was Gordon Trowers, according to court documents -- had been deported in 1997 after being convicted previously in Cook County of several felonies, including delivery of a controlled substance and armed violence.
Authorities believe he later returned to the United States, apparently obtaining ID as Jesse Miser. Under that name, he was convicted in 2000 of pandering.
DuPage County State's Attorney Joseph Birkett said the Chicago man faces deportation after his criminal case is resolved.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
