    India leader disses American workers

Wipro head Premji shows us what many over there think of us, the American worker:

"So what jobs are we depriving people of? I'm very clear: You are getting into another shortage of IT professionals and those who complain they are not getting jobs, their jobs are getting displaced, are going to be on the fire list anyway because they were not doing their jobs well enough. I don't think they are being deprived of their jobs because of outsourcing."

I have seen them being insulting to Americans when they are being interviewed. One young woman said that American children were 3 years behind Indian children in education (probably true). I can't remember the other statement made by a man - but it was definitely in the vein that Americans were well - dumb!!! (That is also probably true. Just look at what we have allowed our government do do to our country and its people.)

And yet Indians have to go to other countries to steal jobs, technology and ideas because, on their own, they don't know how to do "their jobs well enough". They have enslaved more persons than any other country in the history of the world because they don't know how to run a country "well enough"...

Bring up the issue of why India still practices slavery and you can say that India is "200 years behind" the US in terms of morality and civil rights.

We can't bow down to the Indians on the topic of education. For one thing, education is universal here and it sure as heck ain't over there. For another, their philosophy of education is ancient, based on rote memorization of large amounts of material. Ours is based on teaching people how to research, think, and create. For another, our education system is not universally bad. There are bad areas and better areas. Even in bad areas, individual students can bloom. So we can't let them diss our students wholesale, like they do. That's discrimination when a foreigner is the hiring manager, and I've heard that it is happening already.

And another point, how come so many of them come here for college?

And another, only recently, their leaders were in print lamenting that only about 1/4 of their grads are really employable. Their system of education is way less standardized than ours. They have master's programs that are designed to prepare people to be coders or DBAs. Then they can compete on the basis of claiming their people are 'better educated' - but do you need a masters for rank and file work on those types of jobs? (degree inflation)

Oh Im sure the average Indian has a good laugh on us every day. They are living the American Dream with our jobs. Their economy is booming while ours is quickly sinking to 3rd world status.

The thing is they havent earned those jobs, the fact that they will work for less than half what an American should make for the same job is how they got outsourced to that country.

Between the invasion and outsourcing of all our jobs to the 3rd world I am genuinely scared for my future as well as the future of America.

It's worse than that. They didn't develop the manufacturing processes, the technology, the systems, the methods, the manner, the materials, the equpment ... that took Americans over 200 years to create over generations.

It was just all packed up; put on a ship; and screwed into some dump facility there and hooked up to a power supply.

Any and every US Government official that would put the American People in this position has no honor, no integrity, no decency, and no allegiance to the United States or American People and aren't fit to serve in the US Government in any capacity elected, appointed, or hired.

In a word ... Traitors of the most despicable kind. They didn't just sell some weapons secrets .... they sold our entire nation ... lock, job and sewing machine.

The saved the stocks to make laughing stocks of US.

And kept the barrels figurin' whisky sales would increase when they put our nation out of work and into bankruptcy.

    No-good, low-down, lyin', back-stabbin', two-faced Pond-Scum Traitors.

Speaking of India. I had to call Delta twice about my mother-in-law's reservation during Thanksgiving. Delta Airlines Reservations - India - won't be flying Delta again.

Have you ever called IBM or Dell for help regarding a conventional IT question? You can't understand most of what those intelligent people are saying and I have yet to be helped by one of them. I don't call IBM or Dell for help anymore.

Most of the time, if you're stubborn enough you can get them to transfer you, when you reach someone in India, S. Africa, Korea, wherever...just by insisting on talking with someone in the United States. I just keep repeating that I want to speak with someone in the US. They usually tell me they can't transfer me and then I ask for a ID on them and tell them I'm going to call the corporate office, which is ALWAYS here in the US, and file a complaint. They usually put me on hold and transfer me to the US or they'll transfer me to their supervisor. Then I tell them the same thing. They almost ALWAYS transfer me, even though they start out telling me they "can't". They're trying to save THEIR jobs now!

If I can't get transferred to the US I just wait till the next day if I have to and call the corporate office and tell them I'll cancel my account, never buy from them again (whatever is appropriate) unless they start employing Americans, so if they want my AMERICAN DOLLAR, they'd better start employing Americans! Those jobs are in other countries where people are paid so little we're STILL the only ones BUYING...that gives us a lot more clout than we think sometimes IMHO.

I've talked with a more than a few customer service people in the US who tell me the tide is starting to turn but they NEED more of us to call and complain.

    Just some thoughts.
