    IN SOME WAYS ASSIMILATION IS LIKE GETTING REMARRIED. AND YOU CANT HAVE A NEW LIFE WITH A NEW SPOUSE IF YOU ARE UNWILLING OR UNABLE TO DIVORCE THE FORMER SPOUSE. ALSO YOU CANNOT EXPECT THE NEW SPOUSE TO BE LIKE THE OLD SPOUSE....THEY ARE NOT THE OLD SPOUSE. ANY SUCCESSFUL REAMARRYING WILL DEPEND ON PUTTING THE FORMER MARRIAGE TO REST.
