America doesn't need any more immigrants
September 26, 2008

I find it a little disturbing that during our current state of unemployment in Indiana and America, the House Judiciary Committee in Washington is contemplating increasing immigration into our country by 550,000 people per year. The past two years we have allowed 1 million legal immigrants per year all the while we continue to lose hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs.

Where do these new legal immigrants plan on working? I would like an answer from any elected official on the federal level as to why they expect the unemployed American citizen to compete with these new immigrants for what jobs we may still have. Why do we have to compete for a job with an illegal immigrant who has no business being here?

This election year, pay attention and do some research on the people you plan on voting for. There are people on the state and federal level who are running for re-election who support illegal immigration and increased legal immigration.

Call your representative or senator and tell them to stop all immigration into our country until our economy improves.
