2 men arrested for forgery, ID trafficking in Mesa

Slideshow Antonio G. Contreras Two men were arrested on Friday on suspicion of forgery and identity trafficking in Mesa.

Detectives from the Arizona Fraudulent Identification Task Force searched an apartment near Main Street and Stapley Drive.

Officials said they discovered a computer, printer/scanner, card printer, laminating machine, software, plastic card stock, and other items related with the manufacturing of forged identifications, driver licenses, immigration cards, and social security cards.

Officials said the items were seized and Antonio Garcia, 29, and Antonio Gayton, 31, suspected undocumented immigrants, were arrested.

The two were booked into the Maricopa County Jail on numerous charges including Forgery, Trafficking in the Identity of Another Person or Entity, and Illegal Control of an Enterprise.
