Rally in Support of Vista Ordinance on Employment of Day Laborers
All Vista residents and nearby community members are invited to participate.

On June 27, 2006 Vista, Ca., the Vista Citizens Brigade and the San Diego Minutemen invite the public to come out and show support for the Mayor and the City Council Members of Vista and their new ordinance to deal with illegal day labor sites in the city. The reason is due to the 100+ loitering men, mostly illegal aliens, disrupting businesses at the Vons Shopping Center along Escondido Ave and S. Santa Fe Ave.

Due to hundreds of complaints by business owners and nearby residents, the city is finally taking steps to end day labor hiring of illegal aliens in Vista. We applaud the city for their bold move to help protect the citizens of Vista and encourage all other cities in San Diego County to enact similar ordinances to deal with the illegal employment of illegal aliens.

We also urge the City of Vista NOT to allow a formal hiring hall in the city. Businesses like Labor Ready (760-806-9890) already exist in Vista to supply workers and employers with the employment they need. A formal hiring hall for illegal aliens violates Federal Law and is not the solution while this country battles to control illegal immigration. We encourage everyone to enforce existing laws.
