"America's Most Wanted" suspect surrenders to ICE

NEW YORK - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents today took custody Wednesday of an individual recently featured on America's Most Wanted.

Agent's with the ICE Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in New York took custody of Un Sun Lee Brown. She was initially contacted by local police in Washington, D.C., before revealing to officers she was wanted in New York by ICE on sex slavery charges.

Brown is alleged to have operated a brothel in Washington under the guise of a message parlor. According to the HSI investigation, Brown would recruit mostly women from Korea to staff the brothels and threaten them with violence if they made efforts to escape.

"Sex traffickers prey on the vulnerabilities of their victims to force them into lives of servitude and rob them of their human dignity," said said James T. Hayes, Jr., special agent in charge of ICE's Office of HSI in New York. "We will continue to work tirelessly with our partners to bring down these ruthless operations and bring to justice those who profit from them."
