AMNESTY RADIO ADS BASED ON FALSE POLL ??

Who is paying for the radio barrage promoting Bush/Kennedy amnesty in the guise of "Conservative Consensus"??

I am getting inundated with radio ads by Americas Majority,
trying to "build a Conservative Consensus" in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens: http://www.amermaj.com/immigration.html

Their investigation of immigration consists of one (sic) question, which offers 5 choices (plus "I'm not sure"): 3 flavors of amnesty, deportation, or incarceration.

Three chances to vote for amnesty, but no chance to vote for law enforcement along with denial of jobs and benefits. No chance to select enforcement and attrition by self-deportation.

Their poll questions and analysis: http://www.amermaj.com/after_the_storm.html

Contrast that poll with the May, 2006, Zogby poll, which offers amnesty (Senate bill), strict enforcement and attrition (House bill), or mass deportations.

The results reflect why a THIRD choice is important for a meaningful poll: http://www.jmi.com/immigrationmarches/zogby5.html

Republicans – 62% favor the House bill, and only 22% favor the Senate amnesty bill. (13% want mass deportations of illegal aliens!)

Democrats – 50% favor the House bill, and only 36% favor the Senate amnesty bill. (11% want mass deportation of illegal aliens!)

"If you don't offer a choice, nobody will pick it."

Nadler's poll sounds like President Bush's: "We can't deport 12 million illegals, therefore we have to make them citizens."

Richard Nadler will be debating immigration this week at: http://www.clc07.com/speakers.html

I'll be there, asking him why his "poll" is worthwhile .

It is now estimated that are between 20 - 38 million illegals... not twelve.

The poll is flawed of course, if you START to enforce laws... THEY WILL SELF-DEPORT.

This is the great lie -- that you either have to deport or grant amnesty....

If you enforce the laws and stop the welfare, they will leave on their own.

Nadler's group is an extremist open borders shill for big business. And of course, his internal poll is false.

The reason for the outcome of that poll, has much to do with the fact that pollsters on the subject have come to figure out that it all is in how the question(s) are asked. For example, no option was allowed for the 'attrition through enforcement' option. Pro-illegal pollsters have come to realize that if you carefully limit and phrase carefully the available options put to the poll recipient, you can 'craft' a set of responses which will 'show' (with requisite amounts of sarcasm and cynicism here) Americans will [supposedly] 'support amnesty'. Forcing the recipient to choose between amnesty or deportation - presents the set of options available as a false choice: no immediate mass deportations would be required as we could just focus on simple enforcement of existing laws - all WITHOUT any need for amnesties nor paths-to-citizenship. When this option is offered in a poll (the true '3rd' and probably the most realistic option - IMHO), the public will sign on to that approach in great numbers.

Of course, the methodology employed, sampling strategy, etc. can have a significant effect on the outcome of a poll as well.

I think we have closer to 65 million of the illegals now walking the streets of America.
