They preferred to lose their jobs in the Colombian Health and Protection Department.
They are now in Cartagena, Colombia, discussing patents and Property Rights.
They dislike the Social Darwinism of this Leonine Treaty
Killing and Murdering the Poor with Big Prices and Prolonged Patents

The Representatitves of the Health and Protection Department in Colombia steped down and lost their jobs with the Governmente.

The three representatives are these :

Gilberto Alvarez
Luis Guillermo Restrepo
Juan Fernando Garcia

They said that they were not going to cooperate in the RUIN OF COLOMBIA with this abusive and leonine "Free Trade Agreement"

The USA wants to raise significatively the cost of Prescription Drugs in Colombia in order to raise the earnings of the Big American Pharmaceuticals.

One of the tricks is to create many legal obstacles and red tape in order to make the American Drug patents last 5 or 7 years more than in the USA, or what is allowed by the World Trade Organization.

This would kill millions of poor people and old folks in Colombia.

Other provisions of this Treaty will force the Eviction of Millions of Poor Peasants from their small farms. This is achieved by introducing duty free American Cereals with subsidies of US $100 per ton.

Colombia, already in a Civil War ( denied by the Government ) will explode in Agrarian Conflicts. More Beggars, Destruction of the Tropical Jungle and Pressure for Emigration.

Social Darwinists say that the Poor should be allowed to die because they are genetically inferior and less intelligent.

Remember that every IMMIGRANT WAS AN EMIGRANT BEFORE.

All of these trade agreements are supporting big business while hurting the average people. Like CAFTA, that is why I have been opposed to them.

An American Friend told me that the Power of the Pharmaceuticals in the US Congress is incredible and they pushed with money for NAFTA and CAFTA and now for the FTAA.

Some people call the Lobby of these Powerful Corporations as "Big Pharma". They can give one billion dollars in political contributions and that is like a single hair for a Saint Bernard dog and nothing compared to their profits.

Many times more powerful and profitable than American Textiles and Garments, or the American Sugar Industry.
