Am sure the specified amount of asylums granted by law are way surpassed. We are talking hundreds of thousands, maybe a million on backlog. If that doesn't exceed the "specified" number, don't know what will. One third of salvadorans live in US now, how many hondurans, guatamalans, costa ricans? Where are the gov't lawyers & DHS on these 2 breeches of our laws?
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services had a backlog of 311,000 pending asylum cases as of Jan. 21. 2018
