    Terrorist attacks certainly seem to be the way to bring a government to it's knees. Or the the negotiating table.

    Hitler did the same thing when he attacked the Reichstag his own government building and blamed it on his opponents.

    You know JP, I was thinking the very same thing.

    Every time there is a terrorist attack, Ima thinking!

    What do they want now......how about lets make that Patriot Act a little more restrictive. Take away a few more freedoms.

    Weren’t some of the clauses due to expire soon?

    Could just be my paranoid way of thinking lately.

    Yes, some of the provisions of the Patriot Act are due to expire this year that Bush is pushing to renew and in the UK the citizens just voted down their version of the Real ID that Blair was pushing. Of course this will propel the legislators of both countries to push for them now.

    I few years ago, I would think that you were paranoid, but I have 8-10 hours a day to read about this stuff and it is not that difficult to connect the dots using the facts.

    Patriot Act 1 expires end of the year right? so Patriot act two goes into effect...

    Only parts of Patriot Act 1 Expire. None of Patriot 2 have sunset clauses.
