    The official end of Veterans Preference

    NO MORE !!!!! The official end of Veterans Preference: May 11, 2010 Two official Federal Gov websites are referenced as the authority/source, this is not another hot-air venting email. Its a FACT CHECK.

    Veterans used to have Hiring Preference into Federal Government Jobs. It is logical that Veterans should have their years of honorable active service count like "Seniority" when applying on Federal Government jobs.

    Also Veteran commitment to their country was being recognized when applying on Federal Government jobs with Veteran hiring preference.

    This Veteran support and recognition ended on May 11, 2010.

    Not by signing a Legislated Bill filled with "pork & amendments" was this conducted. This was initiative and policy thought of, created and directed by Barack Obama's staff.

    FACE IT: A majority of Veterans are conservatives. A proven fact. Well, how do you continue to influence your Special Interest in Washington if you're a Socialist?

    Hire like-minded liberals. That means you have clear-the-way and get rid of Veteran (conservative) Preferences.

    PRIOR TO MAY 11, 2010 VETERAN PREFERENCE:
    It used to be that if a Veteran was qualified for a Fed Gov job and made it onto the Hiring List ranked #1 thru #10, then the hiring agency could Not pass over the Vet to hire a "friend or associate" further down the list say at #8.

    Read the Fed Gov rule of three as described by the Fed Gov Office of Personnel Management (the big HR component of the Executive branch) at the link below.

    *NOTE a "Preference Eligible" is a 5 Pt or higher vet (all that received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal are at least 5 pt Vets, and Preference Eligible).

    " The "Rule of Three" and Veteran pass overs Selection must be made from the highest three eligibles on the certificate who are available for the job--the "rule of three." However, an agency may not pass over a preference eligible to select a lower ranking non preference eligible or non preference eligible with the same or lower score.

    Example: If the top person on a certificate is a 10-point disabled veteran (CP or CPS) and the second and third persons are 5-point preference eligibles, the appointing authority may choose any of the three.

    Example: If the top person on a certificate is a 10-point disabled veteran (CP or CPS), the second person is not a preference eligible, and the third person is a 5-point preference eligible, the appointing authority may choose either of the preference eligibles. The appointing authority may not pass over the 10-point disabled veteran to select the non preference eligible unless an objection has been sustained.

    THE ABOVE SENIORITY PREFERENCES ENDED MAY 11, 2010
    The "Spin" office of the presidential staff is saying that not supporting Veterans is an "improvement".

    They are wrong and this will lead to Nepotism by
    allowing Non-Veteran friends and relatives to be hired instead of Veterans that already have Fed Gov seniority:

    (3) provide for selection from among a larger number of qualified applicants by using the "category rating" approach (as authorized by section 3319 of title

    Send this to all Veterans and Friends.
    Send this to your Veteran Groups (VN VofA, VFW, American Legion, etc).
    Send this to your Congressman and ask them how Barack Obama can issue an executive branch policy that conflicts with Law that supports Veterans.~~~~~~~~~~

    Ending Veterans Preference is disgusting!

    It is war on U.S. citizens, no question.

    Places like USPS will now be able to outsource many positions to illegal aliens.

    Outsourcing has proven not to be so cost effective in many cases. Agreed that huge government is often mismanaged and ridiculously costly - but outsourcing has also been more of the same. In the name of cost savings contracts and jobs are outsourced to "friends" who often hire illegal aliens. Internal documents show contracts outsourced that had to be purchased back at huge cost because the firm refused to do the job right.
    Restitution to Displaced Citizens First!
