While investigating a traffic accident at South State and Standish streets at 3:19 p.m. Thursday, one of the drivers handed police two fraudulent forms of identification -- an Illinois identification card and a Social Security card -- according to a police report. She told police she bought the cards for $150 and had been using them for about 10 years, the report said. Hever Hidalgo, 37, of 733 Jefferson Ave., Elgin, was charged with two counts of possession of a fraudulent identification card, according to a report. She also was cited for driving without a valid license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to yield, police said. Hidalgo told police she was informed she was using a dead person's Social Security number a few years ago when she tried to buy a house, the report said. Hidalgo was unable to post a $7,500 bond and was taken Friday to the Kane County jail.

Why was ICE not called....Kane County, unlike Cook County hasn't officially declared itself a "sanctuary" for illegal aliens has it?

with a $7500 bail, she will sit in kane, and elgin most likely contacted ICE. i read in the papers where IA's arrested with a few kilos of coke, given high bond- $100,000 and got bonded out. of course, a no show at the following court date. the clerk just keeps the $$$ . nice profit for the court. thats a few yrs back, and things are not the same in kane. if an IA gets pinched for a felony, they do the time, then get transed to Mc HENRY co jail to wait for the next jet back to repatriation!
