President Barack Obama’s allies have been blasting the GOP’s blockade of immigration-reform legislation, making the case that Republicans will alienate a core constituency – conservative Christians – unless they get on board.

Republicans have brushed off that warning, calling it a distraction from the president’s failure to fix the nation’s broken immigration system. In fact, recent polls show there’s little support among white evangelicals for a Democrat-backed plan that includes a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants.

if we had term limits then maby we could find representatives that want to do what is right for the country and what the American public want instead of worring about their re-election. Didn't the founding fathers just want the job of the representativej to be part-time. When did this become a carreer job?

“The political views and values of white evangelicals are very different from those of African American evangelical Christians
More BS, on government spending issues white and black American Christians might be far apart, but on social issues they are fairly close, including illegal immigration. For example black Christians helped to pass the anti-gay marriage Prop 8 in California.
