Two Mtn. Home residents and illegal alien arrested on felony drug charges

Two Mountain Home residents and an illegal alien were arrested yesterday on felony drug charges following a two month investigation involving the sales of meth by the Mountain Home Police, Arkansas State Police and 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force.

Police Chief Carry Manuel identified those arrested as 25 year old Katie L. Fernandez and 18 year old Alex A. Rider of Mountain Home and 27 year old Jorge Alberto Cuevas Cuellar. Fernandes has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance, meth; possession of drug paraphernalia and distribution of a controlled substances near certain facilities.

She is being held at the Baxter County Jail on $20,000 bond.

Cuevas Cuellar, has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, meth; and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, marijuana. He is also being held at the Baxter county Jail on $15,000 bond with a hold for federal authorities.

Rider was charged with Possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released for the county jail after posting $2,500 bond.
