    Ariz. House Fires Illegal Alien

    Ariz. House Fires Illegal Alien

    March 16th, 2007 @ 5:29pm

    by KTAR Newsroom

Using social security verification checks with the federal government, the Arizona House discovered it had an illegal alien working for the housekeeping staff. The man was fired Thursday.

The firing came on the same day the Arizona House passed a bill that would penalize employers that knowingly hire illegal aliens.

The man began working for the House in November 2006. A social security verification check discovered the employee's name did not match social security records.

‘The social security verification program works and this is proof," said House speaker Jim Weiers. "We did not knowingly hire the illegal alien and he no longer works for the House."

Ok. This is good, but where did he go? The right thing to do is to fire them and deport them; otherwise they get another job or go running to get food stamps and the other privileges they DEMAND as their rights.

You're right sealyon, why wasn't ICE contacted and the man deported. It's a crying shame when lawmakers can't even get the proper procedure right.
