Arizona Senate Bill Drafts Temporary Worker Program

Arizona Senate Bill Drafts Temporary Worker Program
    J.D. Wallace

The kitchen at the Westin La Paloma is just one more place where they need workers, just like in room service or in other industries like housekeeping. Arizona business owners say a proposed guest worker pragram for people from Mexico at least tells the Federal government it needs to find a solution.

From housekeeping to harvesting, the demand for foreign workers continues.

Employers with labor shortages would recruit through Mexican consulates in Arizona. Those approved would have a valid ID card for two years and couldn’t go to other American states.
And how are they going to make sure they stay? What happens if they don't? Seems they are putting the cart before the horse when the other states are aren't able to get on the first band wagon yet.

Why do these temporary work visas have to go to just Mexico? Why not people from other needy countrys? What about families? Anchor babies? Etc? What additional enforcement is there for this?

This proposal will only serve to give IA's a reason to hope and does nothing to encourage them to go home.

Being able to sign up for this program should require those seeking temp. employment sign up in their home contries, and NOT only Mexico but it is time to even the scale and allow europeans a chance to work here.

Corporations lobbyists and our government are no longer acting in the interests of the American people. They will stop at nothing to force a union between Mexico and the United States.

The Guest Worker Program will fail if they give amnesty to illegals. Once they become U.S. citizens they will no longer work in the fields or the restaraunts, so then who will be the next country they recruit for cheap labor?

This is a nightmare! Our leaders are not looking at tomorrow, they are looking to line their pockets today. They don't give a damn about tomorrow, they don't care about the American citizen or those who fight their dirty wars. Profit, profit, profit is all they see and care about. Our children will be left with no future.
