Census Report Traces Arrival of Nebraska Immigrants

A larger portion of immigrants living in Nebraska have arrived in the country in recent years as compared to that same figure on a national scale.

That's according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau and analysis from the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Center for Public Affairs Research.

The report is based off the 2007 American Community Survey.

Some 35 percent of foreign-born people in the state have entered the country since 2000. That's compared to 28 percent of the nation's foreign-born who arrived in the same time frame.

Nationwide, Somali and Kenyan immigrants are most likely to be among the new arrivals. People from African countries also account for a significant portion of the new arrivals now living in Nebraska.

Are they immigrants or are they illegals?

Does it really matter anymore who or what they are? The bottom line is that we now have HUDREDS OF THOUSANDS of more mouths to feed and house and cloth and school and support. AND not to mention the resources for such numbers.

I know people would like to come to the USA but this is getting WAY OUT OF HAND!

Instead of moving the people here why don't we just tie a rope to their continent and pull them over next to ours? Afterall we as Americans CAN DO ANYTHING we set our minds to! PLUS WE HAVE ALOT MORE PEOPLE NOW TO HELP PULL ON THE ROPES!!!!!!!
