The sheriff's campaign against illegal immigration continues with this morning's arrests of 34 illegal immigrants in the West Valley.

"We're up to over 730 that we have arrested under that state law that nobody else is enforcing, all aspects. And I don't care what other police departments do. That's up to them," said Arpaio.

Arpaio said the tip that led to this morning's arrests did not come from his illegal immigration hotline.

That hotline has produced more than 300 tips on drop houses since being launched this summer.

Arpaio said he's getting a 90 percent conviction rate and he's just warming up.

"And my message to all these illegals - stay out of this county. We have 15 more deputies assigned to fight this problem and we're going to get more. And we're not going to solve it, but we're going to reduce this illegal immigration."
