Immigration Agents Arrest 55 Workers at Dulles International Airport


U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested 55 individuals at Dulles International Airport on charges they were unauthorized to work in the United States.

Immigration officials say 55 illegal aliens were performing contract work at a construction site in a secure area at Dulles the airport, which is outside Washington, D.C. The workers were employed by two construction firms that are involved in a building project at Dulles airport.

ICE agents conducted the operation early this morning as the workers were being bused to the construction location.

Immigration officials say that one of the illegal workers was in possession of an airport security badge, known as a Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, that grants unescorted access to the airport tarmac.

In another worksite enforcement operation earlier this week, ICE agents teamed up with investigators from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service to arrest 14 unauthorized workers who were performing contract work at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, Maryland .

The arrests at these two locations were the latest in a string of operations and investigations by ICE designed to remove illegal workers from sensitive sites and critical infrastructure locations around the country.

This just boggles the mind. I am retired military. It took over 2 years for me to obtain a top level clearance with detailed background checks/investigations. An illegal alien can get a Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge for the tarmac area of an airport with no questions asked. When I enter a DOD installation I have to have current DOD stickers on my vehicle and a valid military id card but illegal aliens are allowed access with fraudulent or no id's endangering military personnel and resources used to support the war on terror. Well Mr Bush, where is your concern for national security? You sacrificed thousands of lives and billions of dollars for perceived threats to our borders from countries half a world away but you allow illegal aliens unimpeded access to our nation's most critical infrastructures and assets via uncontrolled immigration with your miserably failed policies to boot.
