Maybe it was because he was driving a BMW with tinted windows. BMW suggests rich, tinted windows suggests hiding something or not wanting to be seen. Cops like pulling over the rich who think to highly of themselves as well when given a chance. But to me it sounds like this guy has always been against the bill even before it had a chance so of course every stop by police he will attribute it to the SB1070 law.

Lastly he says it effects non Latino's like him also but then describes himself as part Spanish by decent.... last I heard Spanish was Latino so many it was that half of him and not the Asian half that got the thought. But personally as a white male when police stop me (and they do) I never get uptight and I tend to be thankful as they are doing their job. I have nothing to hide so its just a few questions and if you treat them with respect and are polite no problems. But of course you cause a problem you get a problem.
