ASU Students Stage Fake Hunger Strike to support DREAM Act
Top leading news story on Channel 3 TV in Phoenix, AZ tonight: "Hunger strike by ASU students" (article below). They are supporting the DREAM Act. At the end of the TV news story, the reporter stated that "they are only EATING SOUP for their first meal of the day." HOW IS THIS A HUNGER STRIKE? Have they ever been on the Cabbage Soup Diet?

ASU students’ immigration hunger strike to end today
ASSOCIATED PRESS
A hunger strike intended to draw attention to a proposal in Congress to give children of illegal immigrants the chance to become U.S. citizens is drawing to a close.
The week-long hunger strike by seven Arizona State University students was set to end at noon today.
Under the proposal to which the students were trying to draw attention, immigrants brought to the United States illegally as children could be granted a six-year period in which they would complete either two years of college education or two years of military service.
The protest was inspired by a new Arizona law that prohibits employers from knowingly hiring illegal immigrants and a voterapproved law that denied illegal immigrants certain government benefits, such as cheaper in-state tuition and state-funded financial assistance at the state’s public universities and community colleges.
Five of the students were born in Mexico, two in the United States, and all are legal residents, said Evan Story, a friend of the protesters.

They're ONLY having soup for the first meal of the day...
So where's the hunger in hunger strike? This rather escapes me."This is our culture - fight for it. This is our flag - pick it up. This is our country - take it back." - Congressman Tom Tancredo

Hunger strikes are the 2nd worst form of protest and the worst form is a violent protest.
Hunger strikes are just stupid. They probably didn't mention all the stuff they were drinking either.
Spare me!

Think about how much it costs to run a thirty second add on the main stream media and ask yourself how many millions of dollars worth of free publicity these people have been given in defense of illegal immigration.
For that price when a doctor looks down their throats he should see nothing but cobwebs and dust.

Not a hunger strike
Dick Gregory went on hunger strikes. I've been on a soup diet. It's like fasting only. Just because someone claims to be "hungry" , that doesn't equate to a hunger strike. What a joke!

Opponents fear those who get an education through the dream act will simply go back to their home countries, leaving American taxpayers to foot their education.
The students say the opposite could be worse. unquote''
Yes , it could be much worse. They could stay and set a foothold for millions more illegal immigrants to claim amnesty with the help of the likes of Kennedy and Specter the American Rejecter.

Ha! What I wouldn't have given for some Arizona folks to stage a week long 'Ribs and Chili Cook-Off' in front of their dorm. Ahhhh! I can smell it now! Ribs, barbecue, coleslaw, chips, corn on the cob, plenty of cold beer; heck I'd fly in from Chicago for it.

Hillary and Barack are big supporters of La Raza, too.
