Austin-based immigrant smuggling ring busted

A group of people allegedly tied to an Austin-based smuggling ring have been arrested.

The Austin Police Department working in tandem with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and immigration officials arrested eight individuals this week tied to what they call an “Austin-based undocumented alien smuggling operation.â€
