A five-year-old kidnapped from his home Thursday morning is found safe and unharmed.

Austin Police received a call at 8 p.m. Thursday from a citizen in the 800 block of Fairfield Drive in North Austin. The man told police he had a child that he believed was the 5-year-old. A couple of minutes later, officers patrolling in the area arrived at the man’s house, picked up Adrian and brought him to police headquarters where his parent’s positively identified him. The man who found police said he was outside and saw the young boy walking around in the area.

Police say they believe one of the suspects who kidnapped Adrian Thursday morning dropped the child off after publicity surrounding the boy’s kidnapping spread.

Investigators had been following up on nearly 400 tips and leads they received throughout the 13 hours Adrian was missing to determine who kidnapped him and why. His older sister described how it all happened.

“He was just screaming. Me and my mom were screaming too,â€
