$50K Worth of Merchandise Stolen from Fry's Marketplace

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpiao said authorities nabbed two illegal immigrants after they dropped their cell phone at a Fry's Supermarket in Anthem.

"When they dropped their cell phone, our detectives went undercover and were able to meet the suspects and they were placed under arrest," said Arpaio. "They had stolen at least $50,000 dollars worth of merchandise from several Fry's stores across the Valley, including two in Anthem."

Arpiao said the suspects stole from Fry's by taking a barrel sold at the store, filled it with merchandise from the shelves and walked out the front door.

Both men have been deported before, one of them six times. A third man, who was driving when the suspects were arrested, was also an illegal immigrant.

I don't understand why when illegal aliens are arrested, ALL their possessions aren't confisticated?

There would be a large drop in many crimes by illegals, IF the US would plainly state that the entire family would be deported immediately, while the criminal would serve his/her sentence. Take their home, cars, bank accounts. Leave them with nothing, driving home the point that crime does NOT pay!

I read the comments and someone asked what could they get at Fry's that could fit into a barrel that would be worth $50K.

So I reread the story - it said several Fry's stores.

Wonder what they did steal.
